Obituary - MARK JONES SUCCUMBS AT 63
     Mark K. Jones of Route 2, Pikeville, a native of Johnston County, died 
Tuesday.  He was 63 years of age.
     He was a son of the late Charlie and Sallie Radford Jones.
     The funeral was held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Pleasant Hill 
Free Will Baptist Church.  The Rev. Jack Mayo officiated.  Burial was in the 
church cemetery.
     Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, the former Pearl Pearsall; two sons, 
Ed Jones of Smithfield and Charlie Jones of El Passo, Texas; one daughter, 
Mrs. Laurie Weatherington of Kinston; six grandchildren; three brothers, 
David Jones of Kenly, William Jones of Fremont, and Gene Jones of Route 2, 
Princeton.
