Peele, age 38, fell from the roof of the home of Mrs. Fannie Bryant at Boykins, Monday afternoon at 5 o’clock and was instantly killed. Mr. Peele was engaged in repairing the roof when he missed his footing fell to the ground and sustained a fractured skull. He was born March 23, 1892, in North Carolina, and had been living in Boykins for several months. Surviving his are his widow and two children, Bettie Louise and William Ivey Peele; his mother, two brothers, J.M. Peele of Clayton, N.C., and Elmer Peele of Merry Oaks, N.C., two sisters, Mrs. Ezra Falkner of Selma, N.C., and Mrs. M.B. Porter of Norfolk.
