Family Member & Wilson News
Mable Ruth Chauncey Perry, age 62 of Bailey NC, passed away Thursday morning at 
Wilson Medical Center, after a long illness. She was born on May 29, 1942 the 
daughter of the late James Holland Chauncey and Betty Agnes Whitley of the 
Chicod Community, near Washington, NC. She is survived by 5 daughters and a 
son. Mable lived in Bailey until in declining health, she resided in the Bryan 
Center in Wilson. Her eldest son Daniel, and Husband Bobby Lee Perry preceeded 
her in death. Funeral services were held by Shingletons of Wilson with burial 
on March 1, 2004 at the Perry Family Cemetery of Bailey, NC. Family Members and 
friends will gather at the home of her 2nd eldest daughter and husband in 
Kenly, NC after graveside services are complete.

Additional Comments:
Mable loved spending time with her children and family. She collected bells as 
a hobby, and loved to do crossword puzzles. She was a great cook and gave 
advice to anyone who needed help. Her memory will live for a long time in this 
family. God has called her home, and that is where she is.
