Inscription on tombstone reads: He Love the cross of life faithful
Buried at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Cleveland, NC; Johnston Co. 


Additional Comments:
Note: Spelling of last name on his stone is "Coats" while the spelling on his 
wife's and descendent's stones are "Coates"

Husband of Mary O. Coates(Mary Obeda "Bedie" Stevens)

This cemetery has many Coates and Coats burial plots. Thomas and Mary O. 
Coates/Coats are alongside Cleveland Road.
