Viz: I leave and bequeath to my dear wife Patience Battain all of my house hold and kitchen furniture during her life time or widow hood and then to Caroline and Nancy Battain and also all of my corn and pork now on hand to the said Patience Battian, Nancy Battain and is to be made up Equail with Caroline and then the balance of my property to be equaly divided between Caroline and Nancy Battain, my two youngest daughters. I also give to my wife all of my cotton and potato, corn now on hand. I allso bequeath to the said Patience Battain all of my land her natural life time or her widow hood. And after the death of the said Patience Battain or other wise at her marriage, I want my land divided and equally amonge all of my children and for Caroline to have her proportionable part adjoining the land and wher she now lives and I further request that after the (missing word probably “death”) of the said Patience Battain or the marriage of the same that all of my perishable estate should be equally divided between Caroline and Nancy Battain, my two youngest children. I allso bequeath to my wife Patience Batain all of my working tools and my fodder, one cow and calf and one cow and calf to Nancy Battain, I further give my wife one sow and pigs and to Nancy Battain one sow and pigs to my wife. I give two lambs also to Nancy Battain two ewes and lambs and all of my dry? hogs to my wife Patience Battain. I further leave and bequeath to my wife Patience Battain one mare whose name is Raven with my saddle and bridle and I do give the request that all my just debts should be paid and the residue of my property should be equally divided between the children had by my first wife the above bequeath in property aforementioned comprises the whole of my estate and I here acknowledge this to be my last Will and Testament.
