Will of Bennett Blackman

To beloved wife Blanche Blackman all the estate I had by her in marriage, one 
Negro woman called Sue, a work horse called Roan, one feather bed and 
furniture that I commonly lay on, one half of the crop made this year and half 
the hogs, I also lend her during the term of three years and no longer one 
Negro fellow named Ceasar
To my son Steven the plantation whereon he now lives, a Negro boy called 
Daniel which he has in his possession, one large iron pot and a set of iron 
wedges
To daughter Mary one Negro boy called Peter, one Negro girl called Sarah, one 
bed and furniture, one desk, one looking glass and my sorrell horse
To son William the plantation whereon I live and still and land to it as far 
as to the old pasture fence down a branch, six cows and calves, one dozen 
pewter plates, two pewter basons, two pewter dishes, one table, half the crop 
and half the hogs this ensueing year, one negro winch Nan and Ceasar when his 
three years are expired and I lend him my Negro fellow Ben till the sd Ceasars 
in his possession, one bed and furiture
To my two daughters Ede and Zilpha the remainder part of my land namely __ 
Place and the rice islands, one Negro fellow called Sharpper, one Negro winch 
called Jude, one Negro man called Arnold, one girl called Sis, one fellow 
called Sawrey during his indenture, one bed and furniture, and to be left on 
the care of my executor, my desire is that when the younger shall arrive at 
the age of eighteen the said Negroes and land shall be equally divided between 
them
My wearing clothes be equally divided between my two sons viz Stephen and 
William
I appoint my brother Stephen Blackman my executor
