I John Brady of Johnston County and State of North Carolina being of sound mind and perfect mind and memory (blessed be God) this sixteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety-one make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say first --- I lend unto my beloved wife Elisha Brady alias Holton one Negro woman I have named Jenny one feather bed and furniture, one mare named Dill and her colt one woman saddle and bridal two cows and calves and the plantation I now live on with the lands adjoining to her during her natural life and after her deceased to be equally divided between my two children Blak and Milly Brady alias Holton except the Negro woman Jenny and the land and plantation--- Item. I give and bequeath unto my beloved son Blak Brady alias Holton one Negro woman slave named Jenny, the land and plantation I now live on with all my land adjoining reserving the use of the plantation and Negro woman for my wife Elisha Brady alias Holton during her natural life as before mentioned one feather bed and furniture to him and his heirs forever --- Item. I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Milly Brady alias Holton one Negro girl named Unity one feather bed and furniture to her and her heirs forever. Item. I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Grace Cheaves one silver dollar. My will and desire is that the remainder of my estate that is not willed away nor lent after all changes and expenses is paid to be equally divided between my son Blake Brady alias Holton and daughter Milly Brady alias Holton when my son Blak arrives to the age of twenty-one years. And I hereby make and ordain my worthy friend Henry Burton and my son Blake Brady alias Holton Executors of this my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof the said John Brady have to this my last Will and Testament, set my hand and seal the day and year above written signed Sealed published and declared by the said John Brady.
