Jesse Britt will - Johnston County, North Carolina

Exrs: wife Nancy Britt and son Johnathan Britt
Witnesses: Cader Willoughby, James Moody, S. Brown

To wife Nancy Britt: during her life or widowhood, use of plantation where I 
now live with adjoining land of about 180 acres, reference to William Dodd's 
and James Norris's lines.  Use of stock of cattle, horses, hogs, geese, 
dunghill fowls, plantation working tools, kitchen and dwelling household 
furniture, corn and meal now in hand.

To daughter Elizabeth Reeaves: 5 shillings

To son Johnathan Britt: land on north side of Little Creek, about 190 acres, 
references William Dodd's line.  One half of my blacksmith tools.

To son Redding Britt: 5 shillings

To sons Calvin and Littleberry Britt:  plantation and adjoining land where I 
now live to be shared equally, reserving for use of wife during her life or 
widowhood.  To Calvin the other half of my blacksmith tools.

All land left to wife excepting what is used to support family be be sold by 
the executors after the expiration of her widowhood and the money to be 
equally divided between wife and daughters Rachel Moore, Nancy Britt, Winefred 
Britt, Clary Britt, Siddy Britt, Polly Britt, Charlotte Britt.

Tract of 128 acres (reference to James Norris's line) to be sold by executors 
and money used to pay just debts, balance to be spent on raising my small 
children

Wife and son Jonathan executors.
