Devised August 26, 1812. Proven November 23, 1812 In the Name of God Amen, I Sarah Carrell being Weak in body but of good memory do make and ordain this as my last Will and Testament the is to say I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Lucy Johnson one Mare called Poll, saddle and bridle. Item I give unto my Son Caleb Penny three Negroes namely Toby, Lydia, and their youngest Child Boston, also I give him the field of Corn, Fodder &c where the Potato Patch is in over next to Mr. R. Sanders, also the Potatoes, also one Gray Horse all this & these to him and his heirs forever. After their legacies are taken out the balance of my property or estate it is my will and desire that it should be equally divided between all my Children Namely Alexander Penny, Ann Atkins, Isaac Penny, Esther Sturdivant, Hardy Penny, James Penny, Frances Atkins, Lucy Johnson, Sally Penny and Caleb Penny to them and their heirs forever, and I do wish and desire that Mr. Reuben Sanders and Hardy Penny act as executors to this my last will and testament August 26 1812.
