I John Davis of Johnston County occupation farmer make this my last will. 
I give devise and bequeath to my daughter E. A. Davis - 29 1/2 acres of 
land, the homestead upon which I live, household and kitchen furniture and 
one year of support and unto her daughter Polly Ann Pender- two dolls and 
unto my daughter Julia Wilkins - one dollar and the residue to be divided 
between my sons, Jacob & Wesley Davis after my deathMy last will and 
testament signed John Davis

The said signed and sealed this instrument and published and declared the 
same as and for his last will and we at his request and in his presence and 
in the presence of each other have hearunto writen our names as subscribing 
witness
