Johnston County, NC - William Fish Will ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Will of William Fish - Johnston Co., NC, 1791 In the name of God Amen I WILLIAM FISH of Johnston County in the State of North Carolina make this my last Will and Testament as follows, To Wit I lend to my beloved Wife the Manner Plantation where I now live during her life, or Widowhood, I also lend her a negro wench named Phillis; during her life or Widowhood. I ------- at her death or marrage the said negro wench Phillis to be sold & the money arising there from to be equally divided among all my daughters. I also give my Wife four cows and calves also one of hoggs called the Grath Branch Hoggs, two feather beds & furniture, one bay horse known by the name Jack, as well as all my houshold & kitchen furniture Item. I give to my son JOHN, all my land lying on (Bothside?) Middle Creek in the County of Wake & State aforesaid, I give to my son JAMES, all my lands I now posess in the County of Johnston & State aforesaid, excepting two hundred acres joining (Red?) Whitington & Ron Wight lines & joining the land I have sold to John Bauldham(?), also one black man as well as my saddle & bridle, I desire that a negro fellow named Hercules be sold & the money ariseing therefrom to be equally divided between my two daughters to whit, SALLY COLLINS, & ABBEY, also desire that all the remainder part of my property consisting of cattle, hogs, & one maire, also with the debt I owe be made use of to discharge my debts. Item. I give to my son JAMES, one negro boy by the name of Ben and in case anything be left therefrom after paying my debts The sum thereof to be equally divided between Soloman Coab(?), Jason Wight(?), my son JOHN, & Ryas Collins (Urias Collins) Item. I give to Ryas Collins one cow & calf And lastly I do nominate constitute my wife SAREY, Thos. Leach, and Edward Steevens executors of this my last will & testiment hereby revoking & making void all other wills by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this eleventh day of March, 1791.
