Johnston County, NC - Will & Estate Records File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Carol Norville Berning Isaac Hinton Deed Johnston County, NC November 20, 1784 Transcribed by Carol Norville Berning berningc@worldnet.att.net This indenture made this twentyeth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty four between Mark Sims of the County of Johnston in the State of North Carolina of the one part and Isaac Hinton of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Mark Sims for and in consideration of the just and full sum of one hundred and fifty pounds current lawfull money of the State aforesaid to him in hand paid by the said Isaac Hinton the (___________) whereof the said Mark Sims doth hereby own and acknowledge and himself therewith fully satisfyed contented and paid and thereof & of every part & parcel thereof doth hereby (__________) release exonerate & forever discharge the said Isaac Hinton his heirs Exo~ Admr~ & Every of them. By these presents hath granted bargained sold (_______) (_________) conveyed & confirmed and by these presents doth fully freely clearly & absolutely grant Bargain sell (_________) (__________) convey & confirm unto the said Isaac Hinton, his heirs & assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in the County and State aforesaid on the north side of Neuse River beginning at or near the maouth of Mosses Creek thence North to the beginning corner a pine thence west two hundred and fifty eight poles to a hickory a corner thence continuing the old line to the River thence down the River the various courses thereof to the first Station containing by estimation two hundred and sixty seven acres be the same more or less it being part of a tract of land granted to John (________) Senior by the Earl of Granvilles Deed bearing date the thirteenth day of September 1760 to have to hold the above bargained premises with the (________) (__________) to him the said Isaac Hinton to the only proper use & (___________) of him the said Isaac Hinton his heirs and assigns forever & the said Mark Sims for him self and his heirs does covenant promise & agree to and with the said Isaac Hinton that he the said Mark Sims shall and will warrant and forever defend the above bargained premises against all and every person or persons whatsoever that can or may now or hereafter lay any lawfull claim right or title to the same or any part or parcel thereof. In witness whereof the said Mark Sims hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written 1784.
