Devised September 13, 1763, Probated October 19, 1763. In the Name of God Amen, this thirteenth day of September in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty-Three, I, Sill Johnson of Johnston County being of perfect sense and year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty-Three, I, Sill Johnson of Johnston County being of perfect sense and memory do make this my last will and testament. Imprimis, I desire that my well beloved wife Elizabeth Johnson possess and [en]joy the manor plantation during her natural lifetime only the still excepted, and all the land belonging to the same below the Spring Branch. Item, and after her deceased, I give the same to my son Benjamin Johnson to him and his heirs forever. Item, I also give to my son Absalom Johnson the remainder part of said tract to him and his heirs forever. Item, I also lend to my well beloved wife aforesaid all my real and personal estate during her natural life and after her decease to be divided amongst all my children, but desire that she may sell as much of the perishable estate as she shall think fit. I do also appoint my beloved wife as aforesaid my whole and sole executrix of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made declaring this and no other to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.
