NC; Recorded Copy, Johnston County, NC Will Book 2, 1761-1860, p. 265. 
Devised January 8, 1781,
Proven November 29, 1781.

In the name of god amen, I, John Mackcoy being of sound and perfect mind and 
memory blesed be to god for it, do this 8 day of January in the year of our 
Lord 1781 make and publish this my Last Will and testament in maner that 
following, that is to say,
first I give and bequeath to my son John Mackcoye all my Lands and all the 
Rest of my Estate I leave to be sold and equally to be devided betwene my Wife 
and Children.
and I heare by make and ordane my Worthy friend Aaron Vinson Executer of this 
my Last Will and testament in Wittness Wheareof I the said John Mackcoy have 
to this my last Will and testament set __ my hand and seal this day and year 
above riten.
Si[g]ned seal[ed] published and declared by the said John Mackcoy the testater 
as his Laste Will
and Testement in the presents at the time of signing and sealing thereof.

November 29, 1781, Proved in open Court the Last Will and testament of John 
McCoy decd. by the oath of Benjamin Scogin a subscribing witness thereto and 
Aaron Vinson Esqr. the Executor therein named came into Court & qualified 
agreeable to Law.
