Johnston County, NC - Will of Micajah Edwards, 1814 ¤¤¤¤¤¤ Will of Micajah Edwards In the name of God, Amen, I Micajah Edwards, Sen of North Carolina Johnston County being in a low state of health but of perfect and sound memory do make and ordain this instrument of writing as my last will and testament in manner and form following-viz Item, First i will that my just debts be paid by my Executors here after mentioned Item, I give and bequeath unto my son Jefse Edwards one hundred acres of land including his new house and plantation where he formerly lived a part of my last survey Item, I give and bequeath to my daughter Patty Pedon ten shilling Item, I give to my son Simon Edwards during natural life the remainder of my land and plantation where on I now live, one mare, bridle and saddle, one feather bed, bedstead, and furniture and all my working tools, and all my wearing clothes the above lent property to with my land and plantation, mare, bridle and saddle, and bed and furniture and working tools after his devise I give unto my daughter Lucy Edwards Item, I give unto my daughter Lucy one horse, bridle and saddle, two cows and calf, one bedstead and furniture and all the rest of my Estate after all my just debts are paid and for the performance of this my last will and testament I appoint my beloved friends William Holt and my beloved son Jefse Edwards Sole Executors to this my last will and testament In witness where of I have here unto set my hand and affixed my seal this 19th day of September 1814 Micajah (his X mark) Edward Signed sealed And acknowledged in the presence of us James Harmon William Peedin (X) his mark ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
