Devised December 21, 1841, Probated May 26, 1846. In the Name of God Amen I John Ogburn of the County of Johnson and State of North Carolina Being weak and low in Health of body but of sound mind and perfect sense and Memory do make this my last Will and Testament in manner following to wit. Imprimises, I wish all my Just Debts to be paid. Item I give and bequ[e]ath to my well beloved wife Mary Ogburn one Negro woman named Ussy and one Negro Boy named George in full. Item I give and bequ[e]ath to my well beloved wife Mary Ogburn Three feather Beds, House Hold and Kitchen furniture, one Bay mare named Pigeon, Two cows and calves, All my corn and fodder and working Tools except one hand saw and all my stock of Hogs and Pork, all my cider casks during her life Time or widow hood. Item I give to my well beloved Daughter Sarah Ogburn one Negro girl named Mariah, one fe[a]ther Bed and furniture, one cow and calf. Item [I] give to my beloved Daughter Lucy Young one Negro girl named Evelinah. Itam I give to my beloved Daughter Charlotte Williams one Negro girl named Leanah. Itam I give to my son Stephenson Ogburn one Negro Boy named Julious. Itam I give to my son Calvin Ogburn one Negro boy named Nathan, one grindstone, and one hand saw. All the property that I give tomy wife Mary Ogburn except the negro woman Ussy & George to be Equally divided among all my children at her Death or widow. I Leave one Bay mare named Juel and the Balance of my stock of cattle to be sold and Equally divided between all my children. Declaring this and this only to be my will. In witness whareof I have hereunto set my name and afixed my Seal this 21st of December 1841.
