Devised July 6, 1808, Probated August Term, 1808. In the named of God Amen, I Justus Parish of the County of Johnston and State of North Carolina being of perfect and disposing mind and memory Do make this my last Will and Testament in manner & form following. That is to say, first I request all my just debts to be paid. 2dly I give to my Wife Avasilla Parish Three Hundred & eighty Acres of land including the plantation (and improvements) whereon I now live during her natural life: and after her death, to my daughter Parisada Parish to her & her heirs forever. 3rdly I give to my Sons Braxton Parish, Johnson Parish, Isom Parish, Presly Parish, David Parish, Peter Parish, James Parish, William Parish, & Justus Parish to each One Hundred Acres of land a piece, to them their heirs & assigns forever. 4thly I give to my daughters Nancy Flewelling, Sarah Swanson, Betsy Cook, Patsy Parish, Nutty Parish, & Portlock Parish, five shillings a piece. 5thly And all the residue of my Property, after my just debts are paid, I give to my Wife Avasilla Parish to her and her heirs forever. I nominate and appoint my brother George Parish Executor to this my last Will & Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the 6th day of July 1808.
