Samuel Peacock's will Novembr Co 1793

In the name of God Amen. I Samuel Peacock of the State of North Carolina & 
County of Johnston in sickness but under complaint But in Good sence and 
Memmery Blesed be Almighty God Caling to mind the Mortality of Body knowing 
that it is appointed for all men to die. . . . .and for the better settling 
of my Temperal affairs do this the thirteenth day of Septimber in the Year 
of Our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Ninety three make and bublish 
this my last will & Testament, In Manner Following that is to say . . .
First I Recommend my soul to God who Gave it me. Secondly my Body to the 
Ground to be Buried in a Desent Order by the Directin of my Executors

Item, I give and Bequeath to Moses Lee Eight Shilling

Item, I give and Bequeath to Nicholas Dicknon Eight Shilling

Item, I give and Bequeath to Simon Branch Eight Shillings

Item, I give and Bequeath to my son Samuel Peacock Five Shillings

Item, I give and Bequeath to my son John Peacock Five Shillings

Item, I give and Bequeath to my son Isham Peacock Five Shillings

Item, I give and Bequeath to my Son Abraham Peacok Five Shillings

Item I give and Bequeath to my Son Isham Peacock Negro Girl Hannah

Item then all the Remainner of my Property I Give to my Beloved Wife Lesley 
Peacock During her Life or widowhood---------------And I hereby Make and 
Ordain my Worthy Friend Lesley Peacock and William Watkins Executors this my 
Last Will and Testament Whereof I the said Samuel Peacock have hereunto this 
my Last Will and Testiment set my hand and seal this day and year above 
written...

his Last will and Testiment

And for the bettor settling of my temperel affairs do this thirteth day of 
September in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and Ninety 
three Make and publish this my Last will and testiment in manner following 
that is to say
First I recommend my soul to God who gave it me secondly my bodey to the 
ground to be Buried in a decent order By the Derectin of my Executors
