I William Talton of Johnston County being very sick and weake in body but of perfect sound sence and memory thanks be to God for the same and calling to mind the mortality of mankind knowing that all men are been to die, I do therefore make this my last Will and Testament and of all my worldly goods which hath pleased the almighty God his great mercy to bestow upon me I give and bequeath in manner and following first of all I commit my soul into the hand of almighty God that made it and my body to be buried in a decent manner after all my worldly debts are paid I give the remainder followeth viz: Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter, Patience Pearce five shillings thence to her and her her heirs forever. Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter, Fereba Tomson five shillings thence to her and her heirs forever. Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved son Harday Talton one cross cut saw to him and his heirs forever. Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter, Rachel Tell five shillings apiece to her and her heirs forever. Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved son James Talton five shillings apiece to him and his heirs forever. Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter, Saly Spivy five shillings apiece to her and her heirs forever. Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved son William Talton fifty acres of land lying on the north side of Little Beavour in Johnston County the lower side of agread line made by Harday Talton and Everitt Pearce, Beginning on said Beavour near my son William Talton upper corner of fence and runin out to the back line of said land to him and his heirs and assigns forever. Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved son John Talton fifty acres of land lying on the North side of Little Beavour, the other part of said land that is above menchond above agreed line made by Harday Talton and Everitt Pearce to him and his heirs and assigns forever. Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved granson Jonathan Talton fifty acres of land lying on the South side of Little Beavour held by a grant No. 675 one feather bed one sheat one blanket and boulstor one cow and yearling and one sow and pigs to him his heirs and assigns forever. Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved son, Arthur Talton the plantation I now dwell on and the land thereto and one hundred acres of land joining the said plantation held by a grant No. 479 one half of a track of land containing one hundred acres lying on Bunstocken warter and the other half to John Talton of this track of land the same held by a grant No. 502 one hundred acres of land part of a track of land held by a grant No. 676, four yews and lambs fifty head of hogs, one feather bed and furniture, one puter bason one puter dish to him his hers or assigns forever. Item, I lend to my beloved wife Elizabeth Talton the remaining part of my household goods and stock that is not above menchond to her during her natural life or widowhood and after her death to belong to my heirs to be equally devid to them and their heirs forever. And I do hearby constitute and appoint my beloved sons, Harday Talton and Arthur Taltoon before menchond, my executors and I do hearby disannul all manner of former wills whatsoever and do acknowledge this only to be my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 28 of June anno Dom. 1791.
