North Carolina Johnston County In the Name of God Amen I William Thompson Senr. of the sd County and Province aforesaid Being weak in Body but in Perfect mind & Memory as I Know it is appointed for all men once to die & afterwards to Come to Judgmt do first & Principally Recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God who first gave me Being into the World and my Body to be Buryed at the Discression of my Executor hereafter Named. Item I Leave and Bequeath to my well Beloved wife Sarah Thompson the Plantation whereon I Dwell Situate on Horse Creek & also all the use of my Stock Consisting of Horses Mares Cattle & Hogs Exceptg of Two Cows & Calves and Calves to my well Beloved Daughter Sally Thompson & also the same Repeatd Cattle to my Daughter Molley Thompson & also all my Househld Furniture whatever excepting one Feather bed & Furniture to Sally Thompson & also one other Bed & Furniture to Molly Thompson to be paid out of my Estate at the Respective Days of Marrage of Each of my daughters or at the Arrivall of Eighteen years of Both or Either of them. Item I give & Bequeath to my well Beloved Son John Thompson Five shillings. Item I give and Bequeath to Silas Monk for the use of my Daughter Betty Monk five Shillings. Item I give and Bequeath to Edward Green for the use of my Daughter Jemima Green the sum of Five Shillings. Item I Give and Bequeath to my well Beloved Son William Thompson the sum of Five Shillings. Item I give & Bequeath to my well Belovd Daughter Sally Thompson Two Cows & Calves one Feather bed and Furniture. Item I Give & Bequeath to my Well Beloved Daughter Molly Thompson Two Cows & Calves and one Feather bed & Furniture. Item I give and Bequeath to my well Beloved Son Elijah Thompson the Remaining Land & all my Lands on Horse Creek all my Stock of Horses Mares Cattle & Hogs after the Decease of my sd Wife after the Legacies as afore mentioned is paid out of my estate Providing that my Son Elijah Thompson shall maintain & keep my Son John in Sufficient and Wholesome Diat Washing & Lodg.
