I, William Messer of Johnston County and state of North Carolina being of sound mind and ------ do this 3rd day of January 1800 I do make and publish this my last will and testament as forth that is to say, I give and bequeath to my living wife Elisabeth one man and a parcel of land about 14 acres (?) and all my household and furniture of about ten pound notes for her life term and after her death to John Messer son of William Messer. Also I give to my beloved son in law James Langdon five pounds as to be passed and levied out of my estate. Also to my beloved son William Messer I give five pounds to be passed out of the estate as before. I give five pounds to be passed out of the estate to Jane Messer ______ and I also to my beloved daughter Mary Stevens four shillings. Standing by my son John Messer and James Langdon my executors of this My Last Will and Testament. I declare these my intentions and do disallow, revoke and disown all others___________________, Testaments, wills, being bequeathed and Executed by me in any way before now. I date and bequeath from this and condemning tem and no other to be my last will and testament in witness when I have here unto my son and seal this 3rd day of January in the year of Our Lord eighteen hundred I then held public and pronounced and declared by this as my last will and testament.
