NC SUPREME COURT CASE #1667  - STATE vs ISAAC, A NEGRO SLAVE – Jones 
County – 1828. Found at the NC Archives. 

Superior Court of Jones County – Sept. 1828 – the property of Simmons 
Harrison was indicted upon a charge of murder and was in jail for 
awhile. A nole pro sequal entered and Isaac ordered released upon 
payment of his owner of the jail fees. No further information.
