Joseph T. RHODES of Twigs Co., GA to Owen B. Cox of Jones Co., NC

This Indenture made this the Eighteenth day of February in the Year of Our 
Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty Three between Joseph T. RHODS of the 
State of Georgia and County of Twigs of the one part and Owen B. COX of the 
County of Jones and State of North Carolina of the other part. Witnessth that 
I the said Joseph T. RHODS do for and in consideration of the sum of Three 
Hundred dollars to me in hand paid but eh said O. B. COX the Receipt whereof 
he doth hereby acknowledge and the said Joseph T. RHODS hat granted bargained 
and sold conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth give grant bargain 
sell convey and confirm unto the said O.B. COX his heirs and assigns forever 
one fifth part of the mills and the lands alloted of with the said mills that 
for myself formally belonged to James RHODES, dec’d. it being the Right that 
fell to Jacob RHODS and heir at law of said Dec’d and by him Conveyed in the 
State of Georgia to the said Joseph T. RHODS by a deed of Conveyance or a 
power of attorney. To Have and to Hold the aforesaid one fifth part of the 
said mills and the lands thereunto allowed and Every part and parcel thereof 
with the Hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said 
O.B. COX his heirs Exrs. Admrs. and assigns forever to there only proper use 
of the said O. B. COX his heirs and assigns and I the said Joseph T. RHODS do 
for myself my heirs and assigns warrant and forever defend the aforesaid one 
fifth part of said mills and land free from all claim or claims from any 
person or persons whatsoever unto the said O. B. COX his heirs and assigns 
forever. In witness where of I have — unto affixed my hand and seal date 
before mentioned.
