   HOMICIDE IN JONES COUNTY -- A private letter from a citizen of Jones County 
to a citizen of Wadesboro', informs us of a horrible shooting affair that 
occurred in Trenton, Jones County, on the 5th instant. A man named EDWARD 
FARNELL, detecting another named NATHAN GILBERT, in improper intercourse with 
his wife, shot GILBERT three times, blowing the skull completely off, and of 
course, killing him instantly. --Raleigh Register
