Jones County, NC - Wills - Samuel King - 1801 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Vickie Bright WILL OF SAMUEL KING In the name of God Amen--I Samuel King of State of North Carolina and county of Jones being weak and inferior in body, but blessed be God in perfect sound mind and disposing memory do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form as follows (To Wit.) First - My soul I bequeath to the all mighty God my Body to the Earth to be buried in a desant (descent) manner by my Executors thereafter to be named Item - I give and bequeath to loving children Samuel King, Susanna Jones, David King, Nancy King, Elizabeth Jones, Levarty King, George King, Lovicey (?) King, Rebecca King and William King one shilling each to be shared out of my estate and paid by my Executors Item - I give and bequeath to my loving wife Levarty King all the residue of my estate to be given to my said children or any of them at such time or times as she may think proper and convenient for her after paying my just debts, funeral charges, the different Legacy due. Item - I Samuel King do hereby make nominate and appoint ------- wife Lovarty King executrix and Jacob Jonston executor to this my last will denying all other wills. In testimony whereof I have herewith set my hand and seal this seventeenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one.
