BAKER/WARTERS/BENTON BIBLE

This is from a hand copy of the Bible so it is not known if there is 
additional information.  In 2010 it is owned by the son of Moses Barker, dec. 
who lives in Rocky Mount, NC

It has been said that Frederick Baker son of Frederick Sr. and Louisa Gatlin 
md Elizabeth Kilpatrick but I am not sure of the proof and the Bible does not 
give her maiden name.  It appears their daughter, Elizabeth md first an 
unknown Benton and 2nd James Waters/Warters.  According to the Will of James 
Waters, Elizabeth was his 2nd wife as he had at least a son, Thomas, that was 
not hers.  Thomas must have died without heirs as Laura, the daughter of James 
and Elizabeth inherited the main farm and built Maxwood, a lovely home across 
from Kennedy Home.  The land is still in the family.  According to Closs 
Barker, a descendant, there used to be a graveyard outside the house but it 
may have been plowed up.
