(Council Henry CLARK was born in Lenoir Co, NC, son of Reubin Clark & 
Elizabeth HOOTEN?-Council Henry Clark owned a Buggy Factory & lived in the 
Contentnea District of Lenoir Co., NC., he married Mary Jane “Polly” 
TILGHMAN, dau. of Wilson TILGHMAN & Penelope on 3 Oct 1854. Council Henry 
CLARK enlisted Jan. 21, 1862, 4th Cpl. Capt. Rountree’s Co., NC Militia-CSA. 
He & his family moved to Caldwell, Burleson Co., Texas sometime between 1873 
& 1879.)
