This property became a matter of dispute on the boundary lines between SAMUEL HOWARD and CHAUNCEY GRAY, later owners. Involved in the dispute were WILLIAM C. LOFTIN and RICHARD G. COBB. There are several surveys showing various original patents involved in this land, which for years has been known as Kellys Mill Pond.
