County, July 10, 1829 Dear Mother, We have seem MRS. BECK. She informed me it is your wish I should send for the three negroes, DAVE, RICHARD & CHANA left to my children by their grandfather. My friend, JOHN W. BRIDGEN will call on you and will bring them on and will receip't for them in my name. I remain yours, I. HANDLY 16 September 1829 - Rec. three negroes from DOROTHY SHERARD, widow of JOHN SHERARD, dec. which were bequeathed as follows viz CHANA to DOROTHY HANDLY, DAVID to GABRIEL HANDLY and RICHARD to JOHN HANDLY children of ISAAC HANDLY in the State of Alabama which Negroes I promise to delivers to ISAAC HANDLY in behalf of the said children. MARGARET ROGERS was daughter of PATIENT ROGERS who was the daughter of EPHRAIM DANIELS - PATIENCE md WILLIAM ROGERS and they moved from Wayne County to Haywood County, Tenn. PATIENCE had a brother JAMES and sister, SUSAN DANIELS. NOTE: It is not clear what GABRIEL SHERRAD's relationship was to these other people
