She was the daughter of Martha Abbott Ezzell who was the daughter of Margaret Ann Sumrell Abbott who was the daughter of Ancey Phillips Sumrell who was the daughter of Peter and Margaret Witherington Phillips. These documents are now in the possession of Anne McArthur Gaddis of Grifton, used with her permission, and submitted by Jim and Sue Gaddis.
