BECTON of the County of Lenoir being of sound and perfect mind - make this my last will and Testament. 1st - I give my soul to God and leave my wordly effects I dispose of as follows: I loan to my wife ELIRY BECTON during her life the house or portion of the plantation whereon I reside. The part I loan her to include the land on the south side of the road and on the northside of the mouth of a small branch adjacant to ISAAC BROWNS and also loan to her negro man Norris and women Hannah and Sarah. 2nd - I give to my son JARMON BECTON all the lands loaned to my wife after her death 3rd - I give to my son IVY BECTON a certain parcel of land beginning on Vine Swamp, adj to SPEIGHT, JOHN LOFTIN, THOMAS ROUSE and JAMES JONES 4th - I give to my son LEVI BECTON all the lands lying between the bounders of the land loaned to my wife and son IVY BECTON 5th - I loan to my daughter SALLY STANLY negroes Lanna ? and Phebe - after the death of Sally, negroes to be divided between all her children 6th - I give to my son BRYAN B.
