PATRICK 3 April 1867 - Of Lenoir County - being in sound mind - executor to provide a decent burial and pay funeral expenses. Item 1 - Brother JOHN R. PATRICK - two notes I hold against him - one for $305 dated 17 January 1855 due 6 months after that date --- the other dated 9 December 1857 for $235. Item 2 - I give to my sister CHARLOTTE N. DOZIER one note I hold against her husband, SAMUEL B. DOZIER for $107.38 dated 27 March 1859 and the interest on 2 other notes I hold against her husband which I shall hereafter dispose of; one note given for $100 dated October 5 1858 and the other for $290 dated 16 September 1858. Item 3 - to sister SUSAN JANE ROBINSON one note I hold against S. B. DOZIER for $100 without the interest Item 4 - to my brother JAMES M. PATRICK - one note I hold against S. B. DOZIER for $290 without the interest; also one note against FRED. GRIST for $200 dated 17 March 1858 after he has paid my burial expenses and debts out of such notes I appoint my brother JAMES M. PATRICK as exec WIT F. A. BROTHERS W. L. VAST (?) There is a note in this folder that Serena was the daughter of ELIAKIM PATRICK who had a will in Beaufort County in 1851. The brother J. M. PATRICK had a will in Lenoir County written in 1891. The sister CHARLOTTE DOZIER had a will in Greene County dated 1903.
