Lenoir County, NC - Collections File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Martha Mewborn Marble MURPHEY AND TAYLOR FAMILY PAPERS Manuscript Division, Joyner Library, East Carolina University, Greenville, NC Collection #545.1 and donated by Carolyn Taylor Hodges, Frederick Taylor, and Margaret Taylor Perry We greatly appreciate the co-operation of the staff of the Manuscript Division and their permission to post these abstracts. Most of the deeds and other documents in this Collection are from Craven County with some from Wayne and Pitt but since those counties have their records, they were not abstracted - only Lenoir and Greene were abstracted. The exceptions were the early Craven Documents. A note in the Collection indicates that William S. Murphey bc 1719 of Craven Co had children Guilford and William S. Many of the Craven documents are for Guilford Murphey. FOLDER - DEEDS INDENTURE 23 Oct 1845 - WILLIAM H. CROOM of Lenoir Co to JOHN M.
