BIZZELL GIRLS, CA. 1900 [back side] Bizzell girls Home Goldsboro END OF DOCUMENT Comments: The handwriting on the back of the photograph is Clellan Sutton's. The two unnamed Bizzell girls pictured were likely daughters of Lt. Col. Wooten Bizzell (1830-1908) and Sarah (Sally) Ann Sutton Bizzell (1844-1888). Sally was a daughter of Josiah, Sr. and Nancy Hill Sutton of Bucklesberry. This was the only Bizzell family associated with the Bucklesberry community during this time period. Col. and Mrs. Bizzell had six daughters, all born between 1876-1886: Myrtle Wooten; Nancy Alice; Effie Estelle; Mattie Anna; Laura May; and Carrie Mae. A separate photograph of Carrie is part of this Collection.
