Benjamin Christopher Turner Cemetery Located on Pleasant Hill Road, midway between Vine Swamp Fork and Pleasant Hill, in Lenoir County off NC Route 58. The following persons are interred there: Benjamin Christopher Turner and wife, Nancy Stroud Turner Wright Nunn and son, Stephan Nunn Two children of Ferdinand and Nanny Turner Spence, names unknown "Christopher was a Confederate soldier of the Civil War. He survived the war and returned to his home and family of wife and several children. He became a prominent leader of his community. He owned and farmed a large plantation at this site and served one term as a Lenoir Conty Commissioner, was a teacher in an academy in Kinston and Postmaster at one time of a small community named Cadez, near Elm Grove NC, a few miles from Pleasant Hill, NC."
