March 1837 Term, Lenoir County

Charles Fuller vs Barney Wadsworth

An application by the def for revision of the record of a judgment rendered 
against him by the plf – he requested an umpire – William D. Moseley was 
selected but declined – another umpire was selected (not named) - John Gray 
and W. Gray were selected as referees.  They would make no reward – then they 
did make a reward without hearing the evidence and without an umpire

Wadsworth signed with a mark

This case appears to be about some previous local case where the referees 
could not agree as to who would be the umpire would be but there were no 
details in the folder.
