Sheriffs Arrears of Taxes

To the Honourable the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina

The memorial of Simon Bruton late Sheriff of Lenoir County
Humbly Showeth

That your memoralist has a considerable amount of Taxes due him for the Year 
1811 in the county of Lenoir, he therefore prays your Honourable body to pass 
a law authorizing him to collect the arrearages of Taxes due him for the year 
afroresaid in the county of Lenoir and your memoralist as in Duty bound will 
ever pray & C.

Respectfully Showeth

That your memoralist has a considerable amount of Taxes due him for the Years 
1808 & 1809 in the county of Lenoir, he therefore prays your Honourable body 
to pass a law authorizing him to collect the arrearages of Taxes due him for 
the year aforesaid in the county of Lenoir and your memoralist as in Duty 
bound will ever pray & C.
