COWARD, Trustee – vs WILLIAM FIELDS et al Lenoir Co, 1859 Not to be reported which means the case would not be found in NC Reports 18 Oct 1858 Superior Court in Lenoir Co – William H. Whitfield, corner (sic), came to court with the following writs – he is to take William Fields, Sheriff to summon Edmond Carmon, Administrator of Redding Harper, dec to answer John H. Coward, Trustee of a plea of trespass and damages of $300 – A. E. Exum, Sheriff of Greene Co was to summon William Fields and Edward Carmon Coward, the plf was in possession of a mare valued at $150 which came into the possession of the def intestate who knew the mare belonged to Coward yet used it for his own use – since the death of sd Harper, William Fields is now the def – it is not clear why Fields was the def Coward was the trustee of his wife We, Edward Carman, W. J. Pope and Jno F. Wooten owe John H.
