Lenoir County, NC - Collections File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Martha Mewborn Marble DEEDS ETC This Collection is found at the Lenoir County Public Library in four boxes. There is only one original legal document and the rest were hand copied from what I assume were the originals. Some of these original deeds can be found in the Edwin Lawrence Miller Collection found at the NC Archives in Raleigh and already posted on the Lenoir County GenWeb Archives. There is no indication where the rest came from. At least one abstract in the Miller Collection is different (unless it is a different deed) that what Ms. Hyatt had and the original needs to be consulted. There are additional notes on families found on Old Dobbers in the Hyatt Collection. This file will be updated as the Collection is finished.
