Lenoir County, NC – Deeds – Henry Black to Walter Dunn, 1826 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lovit Hines Collection, 1737-1914 This Indenture made this 27th day of February Anno dom One thousand eight hundred and twenty six between Henry Black of Lenoir County and State of No. Carolina of the one part and Walter Dunn of the same County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that I the said Henry Black for and in consideration of the sum of four thousand five hundred dollars to me in hand paid by the said Walter Dunn the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have bargained Sold, aliened, adjudged, and confirmed and by these presents do bargain Sell infer of and confirm unto the said Walter Dunn a certain part or parcel of land Situate lying and being in the State and County aforesaid and on the North Side of Neuse River and South Side of Briery Branch Beginning at a red oak Stump the beginning Corner of a patent granted to Simon Bright and runs with Said pat. Line South 65 Wt. 260 polls to a water oak in a pond Lovicks Corner, there with Said Lovicks line South 57 Ea. 360 polls to a Stake Lovicks Corner in the patent line then Ea. With the patent line 26 polls to the patent Corner a Black oak then no. 60 Ea. 160 polls to a Hickory Lovicks Corner of his blood laws land then No. 15 Wt. With Said Lovicks line 184 polls to a pine thence to the beginning Containing five hundred acres more or less To have and to hold the said bargained land and premises unto the Said Walter Dunn his heirs Exer’s admr’s and assigns forever I the said Henry Black do for myself my heirs Exer’s admr’s and assigns warrant and will forever defend the aforesaid bargained lands and premises against the right title and Claims of all and every other person or persons whatsoever In witness whereof I the Said Henry Black have hereunto Set my hand and Seal the day and date first above written Signed Sealed and delivered } In presence of } Henry Black {Seal} J.P.
