I, Frederick JONES, Entry Officer, to Claims for Land in the County aforesaid to 
the Survey or of Said County Greeting, You are hereby Requested as soon as may 
be to lay of a Certain tract or Parcel of Land for Joel HINES Containing Forty 
five acres lying in Jonathan BENTON’S Branch adjoining of Mikajah BILL, Arehalus 
PIPKIN and Benjamin BARNS’S line as one ? 673 Entered the 9th of July 1823. 
observing the act of Assembly in such Case made & provided for Runing — Lands —.
Given under my hand as office his 1st day of November 1823.

Pursuant to Warrant No. 673 entered 9th July 1823. I have surveyed for Joel 
HINES, Forty One Acres of land in the County aforesaid, North side Neuse River 
and on Panther Creek. Beginning at a pine in PIPKIN’S line on the West side of 
Panther Creek, and runs South sixty West One hundred and eighty poles to a Stake 
in his own field, thence North eighty four East One hundred and fifty four poles 
to a Gum on the side of Panther Creek, then down the Various corner of said 
creek to the Beg’g. 
Surveyed 7th Nov 1823.
