Lenoir County, NC - Susan J. Gray to Julia E. Gray, 1874 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ State of North Carolina Lenoir County February 4, 1874 This indenture made and entered into between SUSAN J. GRAY of the first part and JULIA E. GRAY of the second part all of the state and county above written the said Susan J. Gray do bargain, sell and convey to the said Julia E. Gray all her right and title in the lands of the late ALEXANDER GRAY dec'd known as her right and title in the lands of the late Alexander Gray dec'd known as her the said Susan J. Gray's dower in said lands for the sum of twenty dollars paid her the said Susan J. Gray by the said Julia E. Gray the receipt hereby acknowledged the said Susan J .Gray do further warrant the right and title of said land as far as her dower to the said Julia E. Gray her heirs and assigns to her free from all encumbrances whatever. In witness whereof the said Susan J. Gray do set her hand and seal. In presence of SUSAN J. GRAY Seal C. F.
