Lenoir County, NC - Hines Brothers Lumber Company to Ida Frances Moore, 1910 ~~~~~~~~~~ North Carolina. Lenoir County. This deed made this the ninth day of February, 1910, by Hines Brothers Lumber Company, a corporation chartered and doing business under the laws of North Carolina, with its principal place of business in the City of Kinston, County and State aforesaid, part of the first part to Ida Frances Moore, party of the second party, of said County and State, Witnesseth: That said party of the first part and in consideration of the sum of Five Dollars ($5.00) in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby fully acknowledged, has given, granted and conveyed and quit-claimed, and by these presents does give, grant, convey and quit-claim to the said party of the second part and her heirs and assigns forever all of its right, title, interest and estate in and to the following described piece or parcel of land: --- situate in the County and State aforesaid, and more particularly described as follows: --- In the Contentnea Neck township, adjoining the lands of Thomas Harvey, decd., Charles Abbott, et al, and being the lands attempted to be described in a deed by John B. Dupree to James B Edmondson by deed dated December thirteenth, 1897, in Book 31, page 664, and also attempted to be described In Deed from Hutchin Pate and wife, Barbara Pate to the said Dupree, made Oct. third 1890, and recorded in Book 13, page 466, and also attempted to be described in deed dated April tenth, 1889 by Harriet Pate, Quincy Pate to Hutchin Pate as it appears in Book 12, page 172, said lands being the property of said party of the second part by an independent superior title and this deed being intended to convey whatever interest the party of the first part may have therein from any source. To have and Hold the aforesaid right, title, interest and estate in the aforesaid lands together with all the privileges and appurtenances, thereunto in any wise appertaining, to her, the said party to the second part, and to her heirs and assigns in fee simple forever. In testimony wherefore, the said party of the first part has caused this deed to be executed in its name, with its common seal attached by its President and attested by its Secretary all by order of its Directors in regular meeting assembled and by its board of directors. Tyndal, a Notary Public in and for said County and State do therefore certify that on this the ninth day of February, 1910, before me personally came Henry C. Riley President of the Hines Bros. Lumber Company, a corporation with whom I am personally acquainted, who being by me duly sworn said that he, Henry C. Riley, is the President and Lovit Hines is the Secretary of the Hines Bros. Lumber Company, a corporation, described in and which executed the forgoing deed, that he knows the common seal of said corporation, that the seal affixed to the forgoing instrument is said common seal and the name of the corporation was subscribed thereto by the said President and that said President and Secretary subscribed their names thereto, and said common seal was affixed all by order of the board of Directors of said corporation, and that the said instrument is the act and deed of said corporation.
