M, p. 248-249 Isaac HINES of Lenoir Co., to Joel HINES of Lenoir Co., NC-100 Acres 15 Oct 1799 This Indenture made the fifteenth Day of October in the year of Our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety nine Between Isaac HINES of the State of N. Carolina and County of Lenoir of the one part and Joel HINES of the same State and County as aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the Sum of fifty pounds Current money of This State to me Isaac HINES in hand paid by Joel HINES Before the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt thereof I acknowledge myself to be satisfied and paid Every part and parcel thereof Therefore have Given Granted and Bargained Sold and conveyed and by these do fully and freely and Absolutely Alien convey and Confirm unto Joel HINES his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns forever one Certain tract or parcel of Land situate lying and Being in the County of Duplin lying on the N side of the NE on Camp Branch Beginning at a pine on Mathew WARDS line by Isaac HINES’S old corner and with Mathew WARDS lien S 127 pole to a Stake in Senter of two pines & Hickory on the Side of Camp Branch thence East to the murey? Branch thence thense up the murky Branch to made? Corner thence to the Beginning at Being part of two hundred acres Containing one hundred acres more or less. To have and to hold to the Said Joel HINES his heirs Executors Admrs or Assigns together with all advantages woods ways waters and watercourses and as for my part the aforesaid Isaac HINES my Heirs Executors Admrs and assigns Doth hereby Covenant promise and Engage unto the sd. Joel HINES his Heirs Executors Admrs and assigns that they peaceably and quietly hold use Occupy and Enjoy the aforesaid Land and premises With all the Appurtenances and privileges to the same Belonging free and Clear of all Encumbrances Whatsoever and for me the aforesaid Isaac HINES my heirs Execrs admrs and assigns will forever Defend the aforesaid Land & premises as aforesaid Joel HINES his heirs Executors Administrators & Assigns against the Lawful Claim or Claims of any person or persons Whatsoever.
