Taylor State of North Carolina Lenoir County, Whereas William J. Bond did a Deed of Trust bearing date the thirtieth day of December One Thousand Eight hundred and fifty eight convey to Francis C. Jones for certain tract of Land lying and being in the County & State aforewith Containing Seventy fie acres more or less, and whence the said Francis C. Jones did in obedience to said trust, after having advertised the said tract of land fifteen days at the Court House in Kinston and other public places, Sell the same to Joseph B Taylor at and for the Sum of Seven hundred dollars that being the best and highest offer made for the said land, Now therefore this Indenture made and Executed this twenty first day of March Eighteen hundred and fifty nine, between the said Francis C Jones Trustee as aforesaid of the one part, and the said Joseph B Taylor of the other part all of the County and the State aforesaid. Witness that the said Francis C Jones for and in consideration of the said sum of Seven hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt and payment whereof is hence acknowledged, hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell to the said Joseph B Taylor the above mentioned land which is more particularly described as following (Viz) Beginning at a stake on the ditch, being the beginning of Lot No. 1 in the division of the lands of Robert Bond deceased and runs No. 15 ¾ Wt. 112 poles to a stake in the Harveys line, thence 39 Wt 7 poles 19 links to a stake, thence to 38 ¼ Wt 20 poles & 6 links to a Maple in Lemuel W Aldridge corner thence No 58 ¼ Et, 75 poles to another of Aldredges corners on the ditch to the beginning containing Seventy five acres more or less. To have and hold the above described land and premises with all and singular the Appurtiess to the said Taylor his heirs assigns, and the said Francis C. Jones Trustee as aforesaid doth hereby assigns and set one quitclaim and release all the right title interest and _____which the said William J. Bond possessed and enjoyed at the time of the executing of the said deed of trust above referenced to, and which was conveyed by reason of the same to the said Joseph B Taylor his heirs and assigns forever. I testimony whereof the said Francis C Jones hath here unto set his hand and seal the day and date above written. Produced and exhibited before the undersigned judge of Probate for the said county and is proven by the oath and examination of Wm J Bond that said Lucius Van Bushkirk & G W Jones the sustaining witness thereto one deed And it is further proved by the oath and examination of William J Bond that he is well acquainted with the handwriting of L Van Bushkirk & G M Jones Having often seen them write & that the names of L Van Bushkirk & G W Jones Subscribed and witness to the said dead is in their own proper handwriting.
