LANGSTON: 8 Oct. 1859-Lenoir Co., N.C. Enrolled Re-enrolled This indenture made this Eighth day of October AD 1859-between Jacob LANGSTON of the County of Lenoir and State of North Carolina of the one part and S.J. LANGSTON of the County of Lenoir and State aforesaid of the other part-son of the said Jacob LANGSTON. Witnesseth, that the said Jacob LANGSTON for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which he has unto the said S.J. LANGSTON has given granted assigned, released and confirmed and by their presents does give grant alien release and confirm unto the said S.J. LANGSTON his heirs and assigns forever. All that tract or parcel of land, (with the exception of my life time right which I do hereby reserve unto myself), situated in Lenoir County, State of North Carolina adjoining Jno. P. DUNNS and others beginning at a pine in the old county line and runs with 85 1/4 East 196 poles to a stake in DUNNS line then with his line North 32 poles to a stake in the Big Branch; B.H. LANGSTON beginning corner, then with B.H.. LANGSTON line (which I entered as the dividing line between B.H. LANGSTON and S.J. LANGSTON) to a stake in the back line. B.H. LANGSTON's corner, then with the back line south 124 poles to a stake, Judge SMITH'S corner, thence a direct line to the beginning containing two hundred ----------------------------------------- All things appurtenants thereto and all the estates, rights title and interests of the said Jacob LANGSTON in and thereto after my death. To have and to hold the said tracts a parcel of Land and all things appurtaining thereto to him the S.J. LANGSTON his heirs and assigns to his and their proper use and behoof forever. And I the said Jacob LANGSTON ---- myself my heirs and assigns to warrant and forever defend the right and title of the same to him the said S.J. LANGSTON his heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereas I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.
