Faulkner STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA, LENOIR COUNTY This deed made by A.J. Loftin, Commissioner, etc. under a judgment of the superior court in said County, in the special proceedings entitled George Midyett and wife Lucy Midyett, George Simmons, Huber Bell and wife, Lila Bell, and others. To the court, ex parte, of the County of Lenoir, state of North Carolina, party of the first part, and Lizzie S. Faulkner, wife of S.F. Faulkner, of the county and state aforesaid, party of the second part: Witnesseth: That whereas, the said A.J. Loftin, commissioner, being thereto licensed and empowered by said judgment in said proceedings to seal the said herein after described lands to said party of the second part at private sale for the sum of $300 cash; Now therefore this Indenture witnesseth that the said A.J. Loftin, commissioner as aforesaid, by virtue of the power and authority vested in him by virtue of the said judgment in the above entitled cause, date 21st day of October, 1905, doth hereby bargain, sell, and convey to the said Lizzie S. Faulkner, party of the second part her heirs and assigns for ever, the following described lot of land, situated in the City of Kinston, N.C. adjoining the land of Mrs. Carrie Schweikert and others, being the land mentioned and described in said petition in said proceeding, and bounded as follows: Beginning at a stake on Vernon Avenue, Mrs. Carrie Schweikert’s corner, then in a northern direction 140 feet to a stake, then in a western direction 70 feet to a stake, then in a southern direction 140 feet to Vernon Avenue, then with Vernon Avenue 70 feet to the beginning---being the lot of land conveyed by J.W. Grainger to Myrtie E. Taylor by deed bearing date 18th day of January, 1902 and recorded in the Register’s office of Lenoir County in Book 27, page 46. To have and to hold the said lot of land, with its appurtenances, to her, the said Lizzie S. Faulkner, her heirs and assigns forever, in as full and ample a manner as the said A.J. Loftin, Commissioner as aforesaid, is authorized and empowered to convey the same. In witness whereof the said A.J. Loftin, commissioner, etc. has hereunto set his hand and seal this 21st day of October, 1905. A.J.
