DUPREE This Deed made the 6th day of January 1896, by F.C. LOOPS & wife Kate LOOPS of Lenoir County and State of North Carolina of the first pare, to William C. DUPREE of Lenoir County, and State of North Carolina of the second part. Witnesseth That said F.C. LOOPS & wife Kate LOOPS in consideration of One Thousand Dollars to them paid by William C. DUPREE, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold, and by these presents do bargain, sell and convey to said William C. DUPREE and his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land in Kinston Township, Lenoir County, State of North Carolina adjoining the lands of S. H. ABBOTT, F.C. LOOPS and others bounded as follows, viz Beginning own the Neuse Rivar at the mouth of the branch between said S. H. ABBOTT & F.C. LOOPS and runs Northwardly with run of said branch to the Kinston & Goldsboro road, then South 80 West with the said public road 22.45 chains to the WILLIAMS lands then South & East 175 chains to a tree in a branch, then South 13 East at 11.50 chains to Neuse River then down Neuse River to the beginning containing fifty one & three fourths acres more or less. To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said William C. DUPREE his heirs and assigns to their only use and behoof forever. And the said F.C. LOOPS & wife Kate LOOPS warrant to and with the said William C. DUPREE his heirs and assigns as follows that they are seized of said premises in fee and have right to convey the same in fee simple; that the same are free from all incumbrance and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the secure?, against the —— of all persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof, the said F.C. LOOPS & wife Kate LOOPS have herein to set their hands and sees the day and year above written. F.C. LOOPS Kate LOOPS Attest: S. H. BRIGHT Jan. 6th 1896 North Carolina Lenoir County I, S. H. BRIGHT do hereby certify that F.C. LOOPS and Kate LOOPS his wife personally appears before me this day and acknowledged the due execution of the annexed deed of conveyance, and the said Kate LOOPS being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth state that she signed the secure?, freely and voluntarily without force of compulsion of her said husband or any other person and that she doth still voluntarily assist thereto. Let the Deed and this certificated to be registered. This 6th day of January 1896. S.H.
