PARROTT to John A. PARROTT, both of Lenoir Co., NC Bk. 36, p. 228 Lenoir County, NC 10 Dec. 1866 This Indenture made the 10th day of December A.D. 1866 between Benjamin F. PARROTT of the county of Lenoir and State of North Carolina party of the first part and John A. PARROTT of the said County & State, party of the Second. Witnesseth, That the said Benjamin F. PARROTT for and in consideration of the Sum of Thirteen Thousand dollars to him in hand paid, at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby fully acknowledged, hath bargained, sold, aliened and confirmed, and doth by these presents, bargain, and sell, align and confirm to the said John A. PARROTT, his heirs or assigns a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being into County and State aforesaid, on the North side of Neuse River, and east side of Falling Creek, situate as follows, that is to say beginning at a Horn barn on the east bank of Falling Creek, being a dividing corner between the said B. F. PARROTT and Walter KENNEDY and runs thence with said KENNEDY’S line to a stake in the lane, and the corner of said KENNEDY’S; thence to a pine, another corner of land KENNEDY’S thence with said KENNEDY’S line, to a corner of said KENNEDY’S, James M. PARROTT’S and the said B. F. PARROTS; thence with James M. PARROTT’S line, to Falling Creek, thence up and with the various courses of the said Creek to the beginning containing five hundred and sixty three acres, more or less - To have and to hold to him the said John A. PARROTT, his heirs or assigns forever - And the said Benjamin F. PARROTT for himself his heirs executors, or administrators, covenants and agrees to the said John A. PARROTT, his heirs, Executors, administrators or assigns that he is seized and possessed of an absolute, and indefeasible fee simple title to the said land and premises, and every part and parcel thereof, with all and Singular the tenements hereditaments, improvements, and appurtenances, thereto belonging or in anywise appertaining and that he will warrant and defend the same, and every part and parcel thereof, to the said John A. PARROTT, his heirs, Executors, Administrators or assigns, against the lawful claim or claims of any and all manner of persons whatsoever - And the said Benjamin F. PARROTT, further covenants and agrees that he will make and execute at anytime hereafter, if required so to do, further and more proper assurances of conveyance if this title should either in law or Equity be deemed and held to be insufficient to convey the said premises according to the true intent and meaning of this Indenture. In Testimony whereof the said Benjamin F. PARROTT, hath hereunto set his hand and seal the date first herein written. Benj. F. PARROTT Signed, sealed and delivered in presence of J. M. PARROTT & J. M. PRIDGEN. North Carolina Lenoir County, Feb’y. 2, 1867. Then was the due and legal execution of the foregoing deed proved before me in due form of law but the Oath of J. M.
