SPENCE 2 June 1882 This Deed made the 2nd day of June, 1882 by E. M. SPENCE of Lenoir County and State of North Carolina to H. E. SPENCE of Lenoir County and State of North Carolina Witnesseth that said E. M. SPENCE in consideration of Sixty five dollars to him paid by H. E. SPENCE the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged has bargained and sold, and by these presents due bargain, sell and convey to said H. E. SPENCE & to his heirs, executors and administration and assigns, a tract of land in Lenoir County State of North Carolina adjoining the lands of Ed DEAVER, dec’d and J. W. ROUSE, dec’d, Cpt. W. S. BIRD and others, bounded as follows, viz: The land hereby conveyed by the said E. M SPENCE in his undivided interest in the lands of James M. SPENCE, dec’d to have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said H. E. SPENCE & to his heirs and assigns to their old use and behoof. And the said E. M. SPENCE covenant that he is seized of said premises in fee, and has the right to convey the same in fee simple, that the same are free from all encumbrances, and that he will warrant and defend the said title tot he same, against the claims of all persons whatsoever. Then never having been and division in the land of J. M. SPENCE dec’d. E. M. SPENCE, hereby conveyed his entire interest to H.E. SPENCE. In testimony whereof the said E. M. SPENCE has hereunto set his hand and seal, the day and year above written. Attest: W. S. BIRD Signed: E.
